Hand carved, wooden spoon, crafted from Bass wood and turned into functional kitchen art.

This hand carved mixing spoon was crafted in a period of recovery after shattering my elbow. It is my hope that whomever become the owner of this piece of work finds their own therapy using it in their kitchen. It is said that “life mimics art” but in this case, I think it’s the other way around. After months of staring at x-rays and wondering if spoon carving would remain my favorite pastime, I am relieved to know, the answer to that question is YES! It’s titled Pins and Needles for hopefully obvious reasons.

  • Hand carved and one-of-a-kind.

  • Measure approximately 10 1/2 inches long from end to end with a bowl width of 2 1/2 inch. 

  • Surface is sanded smooth with wood burnt detailing on the handle and finished with .
